Go For It! Jazz Improvisation Method

Go For It is a jazz combo arrangement designed to get players improvising. Features Include:

* A full, playable arrangement of Go For It, a 12 bar Blues with intro/outro, and 2 part harmony through the head:

– Part One and Two notated for Concert Treble/Bass Clef, Bb, Eb Instruments
– Rhythm section parts for Guitar, Piano, Bass, and Drums

*Complete solos progressing from a single scale to advanced harmonies and rhythms:

– Six choruses of written solos progress through three levels of improvisation.

Level One:
Chorus 1: Use of the Blues Scale,
Chorus 2: Introduces use of the Chord Scales.

Level Two:
Chorus 3: Introduces the use of the Dominant Bebop Scale
Chorus 4: Introduces alterations to the Chord Scales and the Bebop Scale

Level Three:
Chorus 5: Alterations to the Chord Scales and the Bebop Scale with added Rhythmic Complexity
Chorus 6: Combines all elements
